The second annual Jacksonville Code Camp is on August 26th, 2006. No event of this scale is successful without the help of volunteers. The volunteers help with various organizational aspects of the event. We need your help in making this event a great success. We are looking for several individuals to help us in the following areas:
Pre - Event:
Marketing, Sponsor and Contributor Relations, Web Site updates, Registration, Agenda Printing, Facilities and Logistics
Event Day (August 26th, 2006):
Sign up Desk, Food Service, Room Parents, Technical Support, Booth Setup, Giveaways and Prizes Management, Photography/Video Recording
Why you should consider to be a Codecamp Volunteer?
1. You want to show the spirit of community involvement. Learn, have fun, and also help others on the way.
2. You have the flexibility to choose. You can choose an activity that is fun and still claim volunteer credit.
3. You get community credit for your effort at http://www.community-credit.com.
4. Access to Speaker and Volunteer Pub Club on Friday, August 25th, 2006.
5. Sport a Volunteer Shirt / T-Shirt on the event day.
What do we expect from you as Codecamp Volunteer?
1. Choose one or multiple areas to assist us.
2. Attend volunteer meetings.
3. Execute on the chosen role(s) and responsibilities.
In case you are interested to be a volunteer or you have any questions, please email info@jaxdug.com with your choice of areas. We'll be having couple of volunteer meetings to assign individual roles and responsibilities for the event. The date/time/location for the meetings would be announced shortly.
