The 2005 DotNetRocks Road Trip is coming to Jacksonville Florida October 22nd

This is a great story and just another reason why the Florida .Net community loves Russ “The Toolman” Fustino, Joe “MSN Butterfly” Healy and DotNetRocks (Carl Franklin & Richard Campbell).

Joe Healy sent an email on Friday (7/22/2005) to Dennis Bottjer and myself asking us to “wup on him (Carl and Richard)” for not scheduling a visit to Florida during the DNR road trip.  Joe must have also sent emails to a few other influentials including Russ Fustino and Jay Roxe.

Dennis’s flame email to DNR was better than mine (my email sucked…I was using my work email so I had to be a little professional).  Carl read Dennis’s email during the show (7/24/2005 – episode #124).  Not only did Carl and Richard read the email; they plugged www.jaxdug.com and the upcoming Jacksonville Code Camp during the show.

Chris Kinsman, the DNR guest during the show, plugged the site too!  Chris Kinsman is a cool guy and wicked smart.  He visited www.jaxdug.com via the INETA Speaker’s Bureau on April 2nd 2003.  Chris’s presentation “Creating Smart Clients with .Net” was like a fire hose of .Net knowledge that left the group stunned.  Chris’s presentation is still one of the best meetings we have had.

I received an email on 7/26/2005 from Carl suggesting a stop in Jacksonville on October 22nd.

It’s awesome to see first hand how the Microsoft developer community comes together.
