David Silverlight of www.xmlpitstop.com to speak at Jacksonville Code Camp

David Silverlight (a.k.a. Bullet) is a Microsoft XML MVP and independent consultant.  In David's spare time, he leads www.NonProfitWays.com, a developer community in which .NET developers can help the community gain real world .NET experience and network with other developers by building .NET applications for NonProfit Organizations.  He has also spent the last 5 years as the Head Geek of www.XMLPitstop.com, a premier resource site with a wealth of resources for developers who work with XML-Related technologies.

David’s presentation are:

Building secure applications with Membership and Role Management using Visual Studio 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0The Membership service dramatically reduces the amount of code required to implement forms authentication. In ASP.NET 2.0 validating and storing credentials is mostly done for you. The provider model allows credentials to be stored in SQL Server databases or any other medium for which a membership provider is available.  ASP.NET reduces the amount of work needed for implementing membership and role management by 75%.  Come out to this session and see what is involved in the other 25%.

An In-depth look at Profiles in ASP.NET 2.0 – This session will really dig into the capabilities or Profiles in ASP.NET. In this session, David Silverlight will explore a wide range of areas that will be of special interest to all .NET developers, since we all have a need to add personalization to our web-sites. The session will cover everything from basic profile management to coding for complex personalization needs.

David may submit a third topic on Web Parts to round out the three areas of Personalization.
