    OPEN REQUIREMENTS:  ON LINE APPLICATION REQUIRED

    A six year combination of education, training or experience in computer science or related field with at least 3 years of Oracle HRMS implementation and development experience.  Depending upon assignment, may be required to obtain specialized certifications.

     

     

    KINDS OF WORK:  (NOT INTENDED TO BE ALL- INCLUSIVE)

    • Make changes within the HRMS setup, customizes applications, builds reports, and tests Oracle upgrades and patches.
    • Uses System Development Lifecycle Methodology to gather requirements, perform analysis, design, build, test, implement, and document changes to applications.
    • Provide technical input during requirements gathering phase in order to validate system recommendations and work directly with Business Analyst to interpret business requirements.
    • Read and review requirement documentation in order to interpret and map use cases, business rules and functional requirements with team members.
    • Participate in architectural design process and ensure that architecture is reviewed by the Oracle development team and Data Base Administrators.
    • Create and manage the development of Technical Design Documents (TDD), inclusive of application architecture and software model, objects and relationships, class modules, database design, security and data mapping.
    • Review wire frames and participate in User Interface design process.
    • Disseminate TDD for review to peers and support services inclusive of Database, Security, and Server groups.
    • Develop code, web services, and stored procedures based upon technical design, user interface and use cases.
    • Develop code for complex business modules, interface systems and conversion programs.
    • Debug code and perform thorough and proper unit and integration tests on application development.
    • Coordinate and conduct parallel tests when necessary.
    • Log test results in issue tracking software and ensure that team members are tracking status of defects and issues.
    • Work directly with internal/external user groups to ensure security, database, server architecture, change management and software requirements.
    • Participate in lessons learned strategies and project summary reviews.
    • Work with project manager to define project tasks and risks.
    • Recommend technologically sound business solutions in order to address customer business needs.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in the City of Jacksonville Core Competencies.
